Undine Dreams ARTifact Necklace #12
All seashells used to create this art to wear were found on my many excursions to Winter Island in Salem MA, Plum Isalnd and Sandy Point Beach in Ipswich MA.
This one of a kind piece was handcrafted with eco-friendly paper clay painted iridescent ivory, blue with a touch of gold leaf. Semiprecious Moonstones, Freshwater Pearls, a Sand Dollar, Fairy Snail seashells and rhinestones are embedded in the clay.
A broken sand dollar hides a Sea Fae sleeping under a few Fairy Snail seashells. When the light hits the pendant, tiny rainbows are reflected.
Genuine Labradorite with Czech glass crystals are wire wrapped with rose gold copper wire. Copper enhances the healing properties of gemstones and shells.
I crocheted strands of shimmering silk threads of sea blue, peridot green, pink and gold which measures about 36 inches long. This cord can be tied to the length desired when wearing.
On the back of the pendant is a message that reads "i believe in magic"
All semiprecious stones, crystals, seashells and driftwood are saged, cleared and charged with Reiki.
Labradorite is a magical stone that is said to can awaken mystical, or psychic abilities. It helps to clear the aura and protect from negatively. Inuit peoples claim Labradorite fell from the frozen fire of the Aurora Borealis which may explain the ethereal hues of this stone. This stone of enchantment is said to bring on serendipity when worn. Also used to connect with the Angelic and Spirit Realms
Moonstone represents our Inner Goddess. Moonstone has been said to be connected to the magic of the moon. It is a stone of fertility, sensuality and magic. It is said to balance hormones as our hormones fluctuate during moon cycles.
Spiritually pearls soothe the body, mind and soul while healing negativity. They are a symbol of rebirth, birth, new beginnings. The Chinese believe pearls aid in fertility as the help balance the body’s natural rhythms and hormone levels with lunar cycles. They are considered yin and a sign of the Moon.
The Sand Dollar was found on Sandy Point Beach in Ipswich. It is not really a seashell. It is a sea urchin which is related to the starfish. Its five-pointed star represents the Star of Bethlehem and the Star Tarot card. Sand Dollars represent balance, Divine energy, wisdom and transformation. They are also associated with prosperity.
Snail seashells are considered a symbol of rebirth and transition. Their whirled shape of a shell represents the circle of life and the tides of the moon. Because snails have shells, it they also remind us of boundaries and to protect ourselves. Snail shells are the perfect example of Sacred Geometry. Found on Winter Island, Salem MA.
Measures inches 4.5 inches long and about 2.5 inches wide. Lightweight. Gift bag included.
