Undine Dreams ARTifact Necklace #16
All seashells used to create this art to wear were found on my many excursions to Winter Island in Salem MA, Plum Isalnd and Sandy Point Beach in Ipswich MA.
Dreaming mother and babe Sea Fae nestling in handsculpted ecofriendly paper clay painted in sea blue, purple and pink with gold leaf.
Embedded in the clay are genuine Amethyst chips, Freshwater Pearl, Blue Chalcedony, European Oyster seashell, Fairy Snail shell, Slipper Shell with sparkling crystal rhinestones.
A faceted blue green Czech glass crystal and violet purple glass bead are wire wrapped with rose gold copper wire. Copper enhances the healing properties of gemstones.
I crocheted strands of shimmering silk threads of peridot green, sea blue, pink and gold which measures about 36 inches long. This cord can be tied to the length desired when wearing.
On the back of the pendant is a message that reads "i believe in magic".
All semiprecious stones, crystals, seashells and driftwood are saged, cleared and charged with Reiki.
Blue Chalcedony calms the body, mind and spirit. Relieves stress and is said to heighten psychic abilities and meditative states of mind. Used to communicate with the spirit world. Dispels negativity. It aids with creativity and brings out the inner child in us. With all that stress and anxiety relieved now we can go play!
Amethyst is known as the magician's stone. It is used in magical ceremonies, healing and is one of the most popular semiprecious stones. It calms the mind. Aids in forgiveness and for those who hold grudges. Used for protection. When in doubt, wear amethyst! The color violet has the highest vibration of all colors.
Spiritually pearls soothe the body, mind and soul while healing negativity. They are a symbol of rebirth, birth, new beginnings. The Chinese believe pearls aid in fertility as the help balance the body’s natural rhythms and hormone levels with lunar cycles. They are considered yin and a sign of the Moon
Snail Shells are considered a symbol of rebirth and transition. Their whirled shape of a shell represents the circle of life and the tides of the moon. Because snails have shells, it they also remind us of boundaries and to protect ourselves. Snail shells are the perfect example of Sacred Geometry too.
Oyster prefers to stay put for much of its life. They symbolize the need to be still, peaceful, meditate and serenity. Many cultures revere the oyster as an aphrodisiac since Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love was born from the foam of the sea. Classical paintings depict her birth on top of a seashell. Oysters also give birth to pearls which are associated with lunar forces, the moon and tides.
Measures inches 5.5 incheslong and about 3.5 inches wide. Lightweight. Gift bag included.
