“Hark, now hear the sailors cry,
Smell the sea, and feel the sky,
Let your soul & spirit fly, into the mystic" - Van Morrison
Undine Dreams ARTifact Necklace #6
All seashells used to create this art to wear were found on my many excursions to Winter Island in Salem MA and to Sandy Point Beach in Ipswich MA.
A tiny Undine Sea Babe of hand sculpted and painted eco-friendly clay is napping on this ancient ARTifact from lost mystical lands under the ocean.
Iridescent ivory hand sculpted and painted eco-friendly paper clay with gold leaf edges adorned with an European Oyster seashell, Mussel shell, tiny Fairy Snail seashell, with Freshwater pearls. Aurora Borealis Czech crystal glass reflect hues of greens, teals and sea blues. Silver rhinestones create tiny rainbows when in the light.
A shimmering pink and gold tassel with a Czech glass crystal dangles from the bottom.
A faceted Czech glass beads wire-wrapped with rose-gold copper wire holds a crocheted chain of gold, pink and peach shimmering silk cord to use as the chain.
It measures about 36 inches and can be tied at the length desired. Copper wire enhances the healing properties of gemstones and pearls.
On the back of the pendant is a message that reads "i believe in magic"
All semiprecious stones, crystals, seashells and driftwood are saged, cleared and charged with Reiki.
Spiritually pearls soothe the body, mind and soul while healing negativity. They are a symbol of rebirth, birth, new beginnings. The Chinese believe pearls aid in fertility as the help balance the body’s natural rhythms and hormone levels with lunar cycles. They are considered yin and a sign of the Moon.
Oyster prefers to stay put for much of its life. They symbolize the need to be still, peaceful, meditate and serenity. Many cultures revere the oyster as an aphrodisiac since Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love was born from the foam of the sea. Classical paintings depict her birth on top of a seashell. Oysters also give birth to pearls which are associated with lunar forces, the moon and tides.
Mussel seashells represent the moon, stability and living peacefully in a community. They are said to helps us weather life’s storms.
Snail seashells are considered a symbol of rebirth and transition. Their whirled shape of a shell represents the circle of life and the tides of the moon. Because snails have shells, it they also remind us of boundaries and to protect ourselves. Snail shells are the perfect example of Sacred Geometry.
